Solomon Islands

During the WW11, Solomon Islands became battlefields: And tourists have the chance to tour the battlefields. This offers physical evidence of the extent of destruction that came upon Solomon Islands as the war raged on.

Solomon Islands boast of so many villages and cute scenery. And the marine life on the Islands are wonderful, providing unique opportunities for divers and marine life scientists, who may be interested in exploring these amazing creatures.

Solomon Islands are archipelagoes blessed with evergreen rainforests that provide a sense of calmness and beauty to many of the Islands . It is reported that about 70 species of reptiles inhabit these rainforests clothed in green ferns, orchids, and palms. The panoramic view of the scene is quite brighter than the one you could see on postcard. Quite natural.

Divers would find a perfect home in Solomon Islands , as each Island offers beautiful beach with sparkling clean, blue waters. And the marine life is vibrant, populated by several species of marine creatures. Nice locations for diving include Marovo Lagoon, Uepi Island and Munda.

Visitors who are dying for swimming and cruising also troop to Solomon Islands. The expansive blue waters make these activities enjoyable. Sometimes, tourists engage in bushwalking inside the thick rainforests. This produces a medical, relaxing experience as tourists combine exercising/walking with breathing in fresh air.

Honiara , the capital of Guadalcanal is a home to many landmarks: there are a museum, China Town and botanical gardens. When you go round the Islands you could still perceive the ruins left behind by WW11.

The people on Solomon Islands cherish their culture a lot. And they engage in carving and making other pretty artifacts.
